All Quiet on the Western Hemisphere of Frank's Dome

Weird article with McCourt in which he said "We don't have to make a deal. We made the biggest move we needed to make in signing Joe [Torre]." It's like he's some type of idiot savant.

He thinks we don't need to make a big deal. Sweet!!! Because Kemp is awesome? Because Loney is sick? Martin is the best catcher in the NL? Pitching staff looks great?

NO-NO-NO!!!

It's because we signed Joe Torre!!! Really??? I checked my stats twice and his OPS for the last 12 seasons in NYC was ZERO. Yes, ZERO. That is well below average. But on the plus side he made no errors and never blew a save. However, signing a guy with no discerable effect on the game usually isn't the "biggest move" a team needs to make.

In this case I don't really care how MC-COURT (that's his rap name) got to his conclusion...as long as he got there. Columbus was trying to get to India and discovered a whole new world for white people. Phil thought that prostitute was a woman and now they're very happy together.

I actually think this article is right on about the state of the franchise. Author seems to recognize the strength of the young players and get why none of the deals that are out there are really worth doing (although I still don't get how Florida wouldn't be interested in a Miggy package from us containing guys like Laroche and Kershaw, which is way better than the bag of dog shit they are being offered by the Angels).

I am willing to give old MC the benefit of the doubt and assume he conveyed a lot of the points the author made but that the writer only quoted him on that dumbass line about Torre.

I also think you are giving Columbus too much credit. The entire world already belonged to white people long before he arrived. Trust me, its in your Bible (or Torah in Brian's case). Look it up.

You should also know that I always give prostitutes the Crocodile Dundee gender test so I will not have any more of those slanderous lies posted on this site.

Oh yeah, and Showtime 2 is the best channel on TV.

Baseball Prospectus has actually started to compute statistics for managers, but they are (so far) pretty useless. They only count pitcher abuse points, times the pitcher was in for over 100 or 120 pitches, sacrifices ordered, stolen bases attempted, etc.

Unfortunately I don't bring the BP to work otherwise I would look up Torre's stats rightthefucknow.
