Adande is wrong a lot in this article but he is right on point about the LA transplants giving the city its bad rep (although I'm pretty sure a few of those douchebags from the Hills are native Angelenos). His ability to make at least one good point shows why he no longer works at the LA Times (where door-knob fuckers like Plaschke and Simers are given free rein to spout uninformed bullshit).
Comparing the Dodgers to the Lakers right now is silly. The Dodgers as mentioned previously have a very talented young nucleus and have money available to really fill out the roster nicely with one or two prime time free agents. On the other hand, the Lakers resemble a team that without Kobe Bryant would look shockingly similar to the Washington Generals.
I also think he underestimates Torre's value as a name/draw especially with respect to getting media attention on the team. Just look at all the Dodger articles in the national press lately. This can only help in attracting free agents.

Mr. Adande is a poorman's poorman. Outside of Jeff Sklar, there's not another human being alive with less charisma.
Anyone that has ever made me think..."hey, Woody Paige is winning this battle of wits" should have his personal identification confiscated and then be dropped off in skid row. If he makes it out he can have his job back. I'm rooting for the crack heads.
Sounds like somebody couldn't get past the velvet rope at the Adande Lounge?
The only person Woody Paige can beat in a battle of wits is that cock smoker Skip Bayless. Bayless is the type of guy that under different time/place circumstances you know he would have been running a division of the Hitler Youth just so he could molest trusting Aryan boys.
We all know the only person on Around the Horn who is worth a shit is Tony "Squadouche" Riali.
