I firmly believe Arod is suffering from "battered wife's sybdrome." After all the bullshit he had to deal with...he's going to resign with the Yankees. What the fuck is he thinking??? There's no way he and Boras have fully explored the market and determined that they can't get more money elsewhere. There was clearly not enough time for that. Granted Miggy's availability is fucking shit up for Boras, but just to go cowering back to the Yankees in mid-November is fucking insane...AND makes them both look like pussies.
The fans have been all over his ass since he arrived. He won 2 MVPs and was fucking sick in the other two years. But hey...the Yankees didn't win a championship...so fuck him, right? He didn't rip shit up in the playoffs. It was like 15 games. Oh yeah, the other 'true yankees' got shut down by the Red Sox, Angels, and Indians. But it was his fault, right?
And if for years of being underappreciated by the fanbase wasn't enough...Cashman and devil spawn mini-steinbrenner's had the audacity to give him an ultimatum warning him not to exercise his contractual rights. You can't play for us if you exercise the opt-out that you negotiated for. Because everyone desperately wants to be a Yankee, right??? Every player in the MLB is just waiting for that chance to get 'called up' for 'quadruple A' and go to the show in NYC.
And now...it appears that he might takes less money to "make up for" the $21 million that NY lost due to the Texas subsidy. If he does this he's fucking insane!!! The whole point of negotiating you opt-out and using the opt-out was to get one more long-term deal before the end of his career. To exercise the opt-out and then essentially "pay-back" the yankees for doing it is the heights of stupidity. Grab your ankles Arod!!! The Yankees had full knowledge of the nature of his contract when they traded for him. They got 4 years of radical production before the opt-out. They have the most money to spend. They have the best chance to get him back...but they still have the arrogance and audacity to give him an ultimatum and act as if they were slighted.
When will the disgusting Yankee arrogance end??? Here's when...when the best fucking player in baseball stops letting them treat him like a little bitch. If Boras lets this happen his mystique is gone. GM's will no longer fear him. Everything he has worked to establish will take a huge step back.
