One of the lesser mentioned X-factors coming into the season (at least on this blog since it didn't involve Juan Pierre's gayness) was whether or not Rafael Furcal could bounce back from his injury riddled 2007 season and return to form. Even though it is still early, it looks like Raffy is all the way back. After ripping the shit out of the pill all spring, he hasn't slowed down one bit now that the games really count. He has reached base in 6 of his first 10 PA's and leads the team with both 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Not only that, he is in the early running for play of the season after scoring from second on an infield single in the bottom of the 9th to beat the giants. I think I speak for all of us here at TQ...ViG when I say, "Welcome back Raffy and keep up the good work!"
Handsome devil Chad Billingsley takes the hill tonight looking for the sweep against our closeted friends from up north. Break out the brooms bitches!

Raffy was our MVP in 2006. If he can regain that form it will be huge for us. If we can get a standard season from Kent, Nomar, and Furcal to combine with the emergence of Ethier/Kemp/Loney/Martin then we'll win the west by 10 games.
