The Dodgers announced on Tuesday the signing of corner infielder Terry Tiffee (whose name makes me assume he looks like this) to a non-roster contract with an invitation to Spring Training. Tiffee, 28, played parts of three seasons with the Twins and spent the 2007 season with Baltimore's Triple-A Norfolk affiliate.
I don't give a Norfolk about Terry Tiffee. And seriously, is that his name? I think this guy sounds like a Giants fan from the Castro District (not straight) that's trying to infiltrate our organization to figure out how championships are won.
Also, we've thrown our hat in the ring for japanese pitcher Hiroki Kuroda. This guy has generated significant interest from a few teams already. Yes, Seattle was one of them...but they'll sign anyone with poor peripheral vision, a fucked up delivery, mad karaoke skills, and $1500 used Levis (they signed these kids to a 5 yr deal). Apparently, he was teamates Sammy Saito back with the Groundzero Carp (i.e. Hiroshima...too soon???). News is that Saito met with Kuroda and Dodger execs recently in TKO Tokyo.
In other news, Dec 5th is International Ninja Day. No ninjas could be found to comment.

Fuck Terry Tiffee! We need to bring back MITCH FUCKING JONES!
WHO?!?!?!?
I bet he slugged 70 bombs with the Nippon Ham Fighters. Speaking of Hiroshima, that is the kind of devastation Mitch Jones probably unleashed on J-League pitchers.
If we get Kuroda hopefully we only sign him for a one or two year deal. It seems like every time we sign a Tojo pitcher they are good initially and then get bombed once the league has seen them a few times (think Nomo and Kaz Ishii). That or they just always suck balls like Chan Ho Park (although he always did have decent stuff to go along with his ten cent head).
I also think you should have called Bobby to get more sweet Asian stereotypes before posting because we all know he has the yellow fever like crazy.
Kuroda, 2 year contract with the option to get publicly shot if awful.
The Grounzero Carp are a solid team, man. Maybe he'll be worth signing, at least looking into. That is if we think he can adjust to the absence of "God Bless Japan" being played every seventh inning stretch.
Also, why does it seem that the Dodgers have their hand in nearly all Asian exports? I think I missed that "Before the Bigs."
accidently posted this on the Flame thread. meant to post it here.

Miguel Cabrera was close to be traded to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim this month, but talks fell apart because the Marlins increased their demands at the last minute, Angels owner Arte Moreno said Wednesday. "We felt we had a deal with them twice," Moreno told West Coast writers during a news conference to introduce new Angels outfielder Torii Hunter and pitcher Jon Garland. "They came back and asked for more. They're doing it to everybody. "I think (Dodgers General Manager Ned) Colletti thought he had a deal for Cabrera, and it changed on him too. (The Marlins) maneuvered us against the Dodgers. We both need a third baseman." Marlins baseball operations President Larry Beinfest declined comment through a team spokesman Wednesday night. ... A source familiar with the Marlins' front office's plans said the Marlins are confident they can trade Cabrera during baseball's winter meetings, which start Monday and end next Thursday in Nashville. -- Palm Beach Post
