Mustache Returns

It looks like Mr. Falcon can once again sleep at night because everyone's favorite neo-Nazi has officially announced his return to the Dodgers in 2008. Frankly I am more than happy with this development so long as he can duplicate last year's production (close to .300 w/ 20HR) and keep his surly mouth shut when it comes to our young superstars in the making.

In other news, the LA Daily News seems to think Kuroda is flying to LA and that an announcement regarding his signing will be coming shortly. Konichiwa Kuroda-san!

As much as I hate Jeff Kent I'm glad he's back. Signing Jones wouldn't have been as important if Kent didn't return. He'll likely be hitting behind Jones in the 5-hole providing protection.

Also, I think he should be given his own private locker room where he doesn't have to use the same facilities as the "colored" players. I also think he should were #3 in quiet tribute to Dale Sr.

Just caught your boasting on MLBTR that you are in fact a better outfielder than Juan Pierre. Although I don't really doubt that claim at all, I would like to see if TQ...ViG could sponsor some sort of skills competition between the two of you to see just how wide the talent gap is.

Would R-Mart have to spend half his time in Kent's locker room and half the time in the other one or would some other system be in order? Or does Kent go by the "one drop" theory?

Also, Mustache is old school so he would rock #43 in honor of The King, Richard Petty. Mr. Kent is very disappointed in your ignorance of NASCAR history.

It also now looks like Kuroda was just flying to California to meet with his agent and go over offers that are on the table. Damn you Daily News!

This is how I see the lineup

1. Furcal
2. Martin/Kemp
3. Loney
4. Jones
5. Kent
6. Martin/Kemp/Nomar
7. Ethier
8. Laroche/Nomar

I can't decide whether Martin or Kemp should hit second. Any ideas???

When Laroche starts he should hit 8th. He'll be a WALK machine. If Nomar's in he should hit 7th and bump Ethier down to 8th.

I miss WILSON BETEMIT. Can we trade Proctor back to the Yanks for Betemit???

I don't really have a problem with either guy in the 2 slot. Both will get on base plenty and both provide the added bonus of base stealing ability. I would like to have Kemp's power a little lower in the lineup but that is really just based on my assumption that his power numbers will go up big time this year (I'm expecting 25-30 bombs from him and 15-20 from Martin).

Another thing to consider may be getting Martin more rest though. The lower he bats the fewer times he'll have to run out there over the course of the year (this probably adds up) so batting him 6th might do something to keep him fresher. Assuming they play Kemp every day as well it would also be easier to slide somebody into the back end of the order rather than shuffle everything around at the 2 slot when Martin takes a day off.

And I am pretty sure I miss Betemit more. I loved that silverback gorilla and the epic bombs he would hit. Why didn't our scouts/management see it?
