Just wanted to welcome Matt Riley (LHP), Alfredo Simon (RHP), and George Lombard (OF) to the Dodgers organization. All three were just signed to minor league deals and invited to spring training. As can be expected I don't know anything about these guys but since TQ...ViG is the leading source for Dodgers news on the internet I felt it was necessary to post the news. Looks like a couple of the guys were high draft picks so hopefully Br!an can share his Baseball Prospectus subscription with us and provide a little more info on these fellas.
In even more exciting news, Nomar is hosting a charity soccer game along with his wife at the Home Depot Center on January 26th. "Who cares?" you ask. Well, normally no one. However it turns out that our favorite mustachioed GM will be suiting up for the game. Usually I am blatantly opposed to charities of any kind but I am definitely not going to miss an opportunity to heckle Ned while he straps on the short-shorts and makes an ass of himself on the pitch (even if it means having to help others in the process). Sounds like a nice little Saturday.

Colletti will kill in that game if get's his power up enough to morph into a flying raccoon (SM3? Anyone?)
He's got to hope he finds a feather in a questionable, floating box on his way to the Home Depot Center. I'm also trying to picture a flying raccoon dominating a soccer match, especially if Torre finds a fire flower.
