He Has Done It!!!

He has done it. He has done it. Nomar with a walk-on. Yes Br!an, your boy Nomar Garciaparra has returned to replace Blake De-hit at 3rd. Peace out Troncoso!!! I'm really psyched to have a healthy Nomar back. Any lineup that has a hitter of his quality in the 7-hole must be decent, right? If this Mexi -- can stay healthy it will be a huge boost. He looked pretty good tonight with a single and 2 walks.

The Dodger bats sure have come to life against the pathetic Pirate pitching. They banged out another 15 hits on Wednesday night and were lead by our little Dominican spark-plug Rafael Furcal. Rafee reached base in all 5 ABs including 4 hits (one being a 2nd-inning jack piece). He is absolutely doing it all right now. He's on-base all day and hitting for power while weilding a nice glove.

As usual, Kemp was electrifying!!! He smashed another 2 hits lifting his average to .310 (happens pretty quick, huh?). He also broke out the cannon, firing a strike that barely nipped Xavier Nady at home by seven steps. Kemp finally showed that he is actually a 6-tool player. He tripped trying to go 1st to 3rd, but then was able to somehow duck the tag attempt using Matrix-like abilities. I'm asserting that, as 6-tool player, he can (1) hit for average (2) hit for power (3) run (4) throw (5) weild the glove and (6) dodge bullets in a post-apocalyptic virtual cyber-world. Yes, he is that good.

Tiger Penis was strong. Torre pulled him after only about 85 pitches, which was probably the smart move. He threw 115 in his last start and this one was put outta reach early.

Loney's hitting streak has reached 15 games. Rock that jersey Purple Stuff.

Sammy threw a scoreless 9th. All is right again.

And to be fair...Pierre napped 2 hits including a sweet RBI drag bunt. He played in place of Ethier who will now likely go into a season-long slump (sound of knocking on wood).
