...And The Horse He Rode In On

In other good news, we finally said peace out to Mark Hendrickson. An angry Hendrickson refused to comment while leaving Chavez Ravin [seen here].

In 2007 he posted the following line:

IP 122.2
ERA 5.21
WHIP 1.39
K 92
BB 29

After researching his stats I've come to the conclusion that he's not that bad. I mean Brad Penny's WHIP was 1.31 (which isn't that great either). However, this only translated to a 3.03 ERA (prompting some to call him lucky).

Regardless, fuck Mark Hendrickson because he is 8 ft. tall and can't get his heater over 84 MPH. But he makes up for that by having no movement on his pitches.

I also don't think people realize how old Hendrickson is (33) since he played b-ball and then got to the big leagues late.

I think WHIP can be misleading/overrated because a big part of pitching is knowing who to go after and who to pitch around. I think this can partially explain the similarity in WHIP between Big Bird and Penny when Tiger Penis is so much more effective.

That picture is priceless!
