How Do You Say "Awesome" In Spanish?

George, get your poncho ready because coming this May Dodger Stadium will play host to an official, regular-season, Mexican League game. That's right, the Mexican Leagues, or as I call them, "the Mexis." The place where millions of chiclet hawking youngsters dream of taking the field in exchange for a few dozen live chickens or a half-drunk bottle of Mezcal (official contract details to follow). The game will be a lively contest between the Diablos Rojos (that's Red Devils for you gabachos out there) from the DF, and the Sultanes (I'm guessing that just means Sultans but it seems like a weird name since they don't have many sand-monkeys in Mexico) from Monterrey. I would not miss this game for the world. If you think the outfield pavilion is fun during a Dodger game, I can only imagine the excitement when these two Latin powerhouses collide at the Ravine. Bring your cock-fight money and meet me at the stadium on May 16.

In other international news, the World Baseball Classic is coming up in just a few weeks. I (or one of my fellow bloggers) will post an in depth preview later on, but for now let me just say that my native Puerto Rico is taking home the title this year. No puedes derrotar los Boricuas.

On a Dodger note, Baseball America ranked the Top-10 prospects in the organization and AA outfielder Andrew Lambo topped the list (with James McDonald second). The full list is up on the Dodger website if you're interested.

I need to get a Dodger's sirape by then.

...And "sirape" is not forced sexual penetration by a knight (like Paul McCartney).

It's probably a mispelling, but that's just too good.
