Looks like waiting around all offseason with his thumb up his ass has not paid off for Ned Coletti. MLBTradeRumors.com is reporting that Adam Dunn has reached a two year agreement with the Washington Nationals and that Bobby Abreu is about to sign with that group of dick-nibbling pedophiles that play in Orange County.
What does this mean for the Dodgers? Now Ned HAS to sign Manny Ramirez and has lost a ton of leverage in negotiations. I still don't think another team will offer more than what the Dodgers have, but if the Dodgers don't cater to Manny enough to get the deal done then they are still screwed. The only other option* appears to be bringing in Ken Griffey Jr. While this would induce instant orgasm in Mr. Falcon, I'm counting on Ned to get a deal done for Manny without getting raped too badly by Boras.
*Note: playing Juan Pierre or Jason Repko in left field is not an option.

This is VERY bad for us. Boras is looking smart right now. He essentially never believed that the Dodgers would sign Dunn (or Abreu, but that was a joke).
I think Manny will get 2/$50MM (with an option for a 3rd year at the same rate). This will likely get done by Friday.
